I adored this trilogy that grabbed me from the get-go and didn't let up for the entire series.
Today marks a year since my Burnished City trilogy concluded. Still so proud of my desperate disaster trio and their story of defying the rules--in magic, in politics, and in love!

Never too late to join the fun. Start with the "wickedly entertaining" NOTORIOUS SORCERER. viscerate.com?page_id=243

I'm thankful for my friends I have known for years who I followed over from the other site, my book club buddies (best book club ever!) and always, my Stellar Four ladies who will always have a special place in my heart.
Let's get some Thanksgiving thanks going. Quote this with someone you want to thank and why.

So now people are calling everything that's not a documentary AI? Like they forgot special effects and scripts/actors existed before Chatgpt? I know I am now one of the olds, but over the last couple of weeks I have seen this more. I mean, something can be fake without being AI.

Is the "My Roman Empire" thing still a thing? Cause I think mine is going grocery shopping & people see my cart and think I'm either hosting a raging party or I'm a prepper, but no, I have teenagers and it's summer.

The amount of ramen alone, it's a lot. Just so much ramen.

Using a typewriter. And fixing mistakes using a typewriter.

Not having TV content 24/7. Only being able to see movies in the theaters.
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.

Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.

I honestly only care about my own kids' SAT scores. And that's if they want to take the SAT. Or if a kid I know tells me about their SAT score, then I will be all Woohoo!

But yeah. I vaguely remember my own score. It served it's purpose now doesn't matter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

People living under fascism didn’t survive by giving up joy—they protected it.

They held onto the things fascism tried to erase: art, friendship, jokes, rituals, language, memory.

Not as escapism but as resistance. As proof they were still human.

Joy isn’t frivolous under fascism. It’s strategic.
