This image shows a Montana sunrise dominated by color and silhouette rather than detailed landscape. Most of the frame is sky. The clouds are arranged in long, horizontal bands stretching from left to right. These bands are colored in deep pinks, warm reds, and soft coral tones, layered against cooler lavender, gray, and muted blue beneath them. The colors are strongest near the middle of the sky and gradually soften as they move upward and downward, creating a striped, flowing appearance, as if the sky were gently brushed with paint. In the lower portion of the image, the land is almost entirely in dark silhouette. A low mountain ridge forms a smooth, uneven horizon line near the bottom. Rising from this darkness are the black outlines of pine trees. On the right side, a tall evergreen stands prominently, its branches sharply defined against the bright sky. Smaller trees and treetops appear on the left, shorter and more distant. No direct sunlight is visible. Instead, the light comes from below the horizon, illuminating the undersides of the clouds while leaving the ground in shadow. The overall effect is calm and still, capturing the moment just before the sun fully rises, when the sky is alive with color but the land remains quiet and dark.

love being a "for all mankind" fan. tv show that costs twenty bajillion doll hairs a season and has negative viewership but keeps putting new seasons out. maybe one of the best tv shows of the last 10 years. you've never heard of it

When I last posted some pictures from our winter rail exploration of the Alps, we were about to board the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur.

Here we start the climb, over ther Brusio Spiral Viaduct.
