The desert’s spirit rises like a hush moving through silence.
Its stillness feels carved from nature’s soul.
Light drifts across the land like memory.
In that quiet, something timeless feels close.

On @reactorsff.bsky.social it's what could've been the series finale if the show hadn't been picked up for a fifth season, and it's a mixed bag to say the least. The BABYLON 5 Rewatch catches a "Rising Star."

And this is how I got the delightful news that there's a new season of For All Mankind coming.
love being a "for all mankind" fan. tv show that costs twenty bajillion doll hairs a season and has negative viewership but keeps putting new seasons out. maybe one of the best tv shows of the last 10 years. you've never heard of it

what are we reading???? I just finished Lia Amador's wonderfully Cuban diaspora-inflected rom-com Witch You Would and then somehow fell into a partial Wimsey reread, though I've got Meg Elison's forthcoming Founding Fathers queued up too.

Come on, publishers. This is a truly excellent book.
And if any editors out there want to give this book a paper home in N. America or elsewhere beyond S. Asia, well, you know what to do. THE LAST DRAGONERS OF BOWBAZAR won a British Fantasy Award, a Subjective Chaos Kind of Award, & was nominated for the Locus Awards.

Here we start the climb, over ther Brusio Spiral Viaduct.

Not at all surprised to learn that Bad Bunny has a historical adviser. His halftime show was a reminder that our history and culture are deeply intertwined with the rest of the western hemisphere. We should think of his performance as part of #America250. #SuperBowl
