we desperately need more people to be openly proud of government work. the things that have been accomplished through government work are miraculous and would be impossible in any other way. social security has never missed a payment! they are developing a vaccine that cures cancer!

I think Baldwin’s quote about “the children are all ours” can be expanded into a very powerful revolutionary praxis. Take care of other people’s children, not just your own. Don’t define yourself as “childless,” the children need you. A community approach to children is central to liberation
I’m going to keep it real and hope I don’t get accused of overstating the issue; children’s liberation is the key to the future you want. The active, and often dismissed, oppression of children is near the root of what ails us as a nation.

This alone should be enough reason to put legislation that stops or slows down AI projects. The same goes for crypto currency.
We all know that due to climate change we need to produce less power in the future, and we should really be using that to heat/cool homes, grow food and cook it.

I swear the #1 reason for the existence of "romantasy" as a term is that it's like mosquito repellent for That Guy. If you're asking for romantasy recs, he will scroll on by instead of trying to convince you that his favorite fantasy series really doesn't have THAT much sexual assault in it.
