This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen.

Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !”

How a Canadian scientist and a venomous lizard helped pave the way for Ozempic - National | Globalnews.ca
In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

This is zero shade to Philly fans - you go have fun.

But it's always interesting how news outlets portray social disruption in the aftermath of sporting events vs social disruption in the form of political protest.

just food for thought.

Evidently lacking in fluently in English or access to a dictionary, NYT and many Beltway reporters continue to use the word “border” to refer to things that are definitively not border. Like interior immigration enforcement.

The people of Delaware chose Sarah McBride — a highly accomplished, impressive trans woman — to represent them in Congress.

The casualty cruelty of House Republicans toward her — not to mention their disrespect toward Delaware — is nothing short of vile.
Rep. Mary Miller introduces Rep. Sarah McBride as “The Gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride.”

Performative cruelty.

Entire USAID agency worldwide was deleted by a consulting government employee with no authority to do so. It’s a constitutional crisis that puts US national security at risk and normies won’t get this until legacy media says this clearly and loudly.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

I feel like the denial of what's happening right now is so deep and persistent that it will take a real shock to get people to believe and talk about it for what it is, until it's too late for millions of people.
My latest.

As journalists and writers, we have a duty to use language that is accurate and describes our current reality.

I’m no longer going to talk about DEI/Anti-DEI.

Let’s be clear. We are facing racial purges and re-segregation.

I guess it’s outrageous that the American people want to know who is inside the government seeking to dismantle it and gain access to their data and a host of other sensitive info. We aren’t allowed to know who they are? Why not?

No, that is not what the Supreme Court ruled. The Supreme Court ruled that the president cannot be criminally prosecuted for official acts. That is a terrible decision, but that is NOT the same thing as saying the President can do anything he wants. The Executive Branch must still follow the law.
Umm... didn't the Supreme Corrupt just recently rule that anything the president does is legal - or least no one can stop him from doing it. Except Congress, but LOL.

Trump claims his tariff pause is the result of concessions from Canada and Mexico on border enforcement.

But many of these so-called "concessions" are policies both countries were already doing (or planning to do) before he took office.

Some dealmaker, huh?
Analysis | Did Trump cave on his Canada and Mexico tariffs?
Some of the purported concessions that led to a 30-day pause on the tariffs were things Canada and Mexico had already done before Trump’s threat, but it’s complicated.
