Why in God's name would anyone from South America, or, actually, ANYWHERE, attend the World Cup in the U.S.?

What would happen if the countries of South America threatened to boycott the World Cup unless FIFA withdrew the award it invented for Trump?

I’ve been meaning to write this up but the reason they’re destroying norms so fast is also the reason they’re so bad at it: they’re copying characters they saw on a screen. Stephen Miller isn’t Goebbels, he’s a guy who is trying to play the Goebbels role he’d spent years practicing in a mirror.
Like trying to drift a car on the street & being surprised when they hit a curb. These guys didn't put in the work, because the whole reason they're these guys is because they can't or won't put in the work
Right, there are these little moments where you can see them going “no rules! Arrest the enemies of the state” and then they get to the station and they’re like “but wait, we got nothing on this guy, we gotta let him go” like it’s Law and Order

Tatiana Schlossberg’s family held a very private funeral for her today.

The service was held in the same church as the one where her grandmother, Jackie Kennedy’s service was held.

Among the attendees was former President Joe Biden, who could be seen leaving the church with tears in his eyes.

Not sharing the pic because it was taken by a paparazzo and involves a minor, but Caroline Kennedy left the funeral of her daughter with Tatiana’s daughter — her granddaughter, Josephine — in her arms.

I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like to say goodbye to your mom and daughter in the same place

Rotavirus
Hepatitis A & B
Meningitis
Influenza
RSV

I’ve cared for previously healthy kids who died from RSV, influenza and meningitis.

We all are going to be caring for a lot more now.

I think the understandable tendency has been to treat this as a tasteless joke, but in light of all we've seen to date, we need to take seriously the possibility that they may be insane enough to try to seize the territory of a peaceful ally by force for... no real reason.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

It will take some time (a few years), but this change will lead to hundreds of thousands of preventable diseases in the most vulnerable parts of the population, including deaths.

I assume we'll follow this up with the introduction of universal healthcare and paid family/sick/parental leave?
