My “my 17 references to George Soros aren’t political” footnote is raising a lot of questions answered by my footnote.
But worry not, he has a footnote explaining why his fixation on Soros "is not political."

That's meaningless without some statutory basis. See eg NY v. FERC, 535 U.S. 1 (2002)(a federal agency "literally has no power to act, let alone preempt the validly enacted legislation of a sovereign State, unless and until Congress confers power upon it.")

But with current SCOTUS, who knows?
BREAKING: President Donald Trump is considering an executive order that would seek to preempt state laws on artificial intelligence through lawsuits and by withholding federal funding, according to a draft of the order seen by Reuters reut.rs/485QCmm

NEW: Trump's DOJ sent a subpoena to a gender-affirming care clinic seeking information on patients, including minors, and its insurance billing practices. The clinic—which doesn't even take insurance—fought the demand in court and won.

Very much this. Science advocates need to recognize that it has become politically advantageous for one party to undercut trust in science, to the extent that they're willing to put their own voters' lives at risk to do so.

You're not rebuilding trust; you're overcoming propaganda.
I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

And that he intervened to make Andrew Tate's life easier.

I wonder how many sex traffickers Donald has gone out of his way to help that we don't know about.

“Roberts has been embedding white-dominant authoritarianism into the country’s source code for two decades. It’s impossible to imagine today’s crisis without the Roberts court having first undermined the foundations of our democracy.”

This all on the leader of the MAGA #scotus ↘️

In 2024, Tierra Walker was sick and getting sicker. She was also pregnant.

She knew abortion was illegal in Texas, but thought there was an exception for women like her, whose health was at risk. Doctors told her there was no emergency.

She didn’t choose to die for this pregnancy. She had a child at home. Instead of surviving to see him grow up he found her dead on his birthday.

There are so many places in the US where it simply is not safe to be pregnant.
