The court’s rationale was that because in the wild west in the 1800s they carried arms in the saloon therefore people in 2025 cities also have a constitutional right to carry in a saloon.

When ICE began terrorizing immigrant communities in California, I quickly introduced & passed a law to ban ICE & other law enforcement from wearing ski masks: The No Secret Police Act. The law goes into effect Thursday, January 1st, 2026. We don’t need masked secret police in our communities.

So grateful for everything the SF-Marin Food Bank does to step up for our community. I’ve long supported the Food Bank’s work, including delivering critical emergency support in this year’s state budget, given federal cuts. I’ll continue to go to the mat for food access by folks who are struggling.
