We've written & published a short summary statement regarding the Sandie Peggie V NHS Fife Health Board employment tribunal case & the judgment given yesterday. Much of the media coverage has missed key information, the most important aspect being that all claims against Dr Beth Upton were dismissed

I spoke in Parliament today to challenge the misinformation from those claiming this tribunal as a 'win' for the anti-trans agenda.

In fact it found Ms Peggie harassed a colleague for being trans, and it dismissed almost all her claims.

It also found that trans segregation is not supported in law.

The WI and Girlguiding have been pressured to exclude trans women – yet the law is clear as mud | Jess O’Thomson
Since the supreme court decision, organisations have faced lobbying and legal threats. But trans people are protected by discrimination law too, says Jess O’Thomson of the Good Law Project

Fantastic news!
The judge rejected the anti-trans argument that it was harassment or discrimination to have inclusive toilets for trans people.

Not on technicalities either, she burns down every anti-trans argument against those facilities in the judgement. It's an absolute rout.

There it is, lads.

He should go to an A&E after a gay or trans person has been attacked. Examine their injuries first hand, then look them in the eye, and justify his govt’s anti trans rhetoric to them.

We're gutted to have lost this seat tonight, we had a superb campaign team and know we couldn't have done more.

Don't let the cold news of the swing numb you, though. With a huge 42% turnout for a council by-election on a cold November day, over 1,200 people still chose hope.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance.

Today we remember and grieve all those we have lost. But we also commit – collectively – to fighting for those of us who are left. There will be hope as long as we continue to stand together.

Absolutely wild what this is in response to.

A Labour MP arguing that actual trans people can't know more about transphobia than some random cis woman.

Fuck the Labour party, now and forever.
Do you not think it's bizarre to have strangers on the internet decide they know better than Brianna's own loved ones on what is or isn't insulting to her memory?

I've got no time for Rosie Duffield, but she turned up at a drop-in event in Parliament and that's been the limit of her involvement.

Very convenient to be able to shove the transphobia that got this girl killed under the carpet and blame phones instead and be able to deny any criticism like that

Maybe Esther doesn’t think its insulting, but its rubbing salt in the wound to the whole trans community

Brianna Ghey was not killed by her phone, she was murdered because she was trans. Abusing her memory to justify heavy-handed acts of censorship that MPs have been desperate to impose for years is absolutely sickening
