Keep in mind these are exactly the people who organised the biggest vaccination programme in British history during the pandemic too.
It's incredible that the story in the headlines today, about Wes Streeting is not that he has finally agreed with the treasury how he is going to sack tens of thousands of nurses at massive expense to the NHS.

I went to school in Salisbury and I am so proud of our extremley beautiful, completely ludicrous cathedral and its tiny foundations.

My dad: you need deeper foundations to get planning permission for an extension.

Wait didn’t Keir Starmer just talk about the insidious rise of racist rhetoric in politics?

In that letter from the lawyers for Farms not Factories, we got the same old tired line that "criticism of Zionism is not the same as antisemitism".

I tell you what. Read the piece & tell me whether you think this is *just* "criticism of Zionism". Go on.

The -extreme- level of right wing media obsession with Zack Polanski and the Green Party gives me hope.

If they’re this worried about clearly articulable, sensible, reasonable and socially responsible polices, maybe Reform Ltd isn’t unstoppable.

"The UK tech minister has said a mathematics ban is on the table."

It's the same thing. LITERALLY.

(The "AI-powered surveillance" will be some bullshit from a major donor.)
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The Online Safety Act has made going online even more dangerous. Google is now warning that as Britons turn to VPNs to avoid the act, there's been an explosion in scam VPNs that sell data or provide it to state actors.

Naturally, that would includes data on (and access to) minors.

All other things aside, McSweeney is just bad at politics. He has the political acumen of a brick. That he has remained in post this long says how weak Starmer is, but it still doesn't change that he is just extraordinarily bad at even the most basic aspects of gauging policy and political direction

What on earth is this nonsense from a Blue Labour MP?

What, you want a policy targeting zero illness, no full time caring responsibilities, no skills mismatches or career breaks and you think we should heavily crack down on migration until we get there?

Just not serious policy/politics.
