Not all delivery trucks are justifiable in cities. We can create jobs, boost sustainable transportation, and create safer streets with better infrastructure through cargo bike logistics.

The solutions, designs, and tools already exist. All we seem to lack is the political will to implement them.

I FOI'd English councils whether they use legal land purchase powers to create traffic-free paths. Just 1% said they have successfully.

Why is something that's so common for roads almost never done for cycle routes? And what does it mean for cycling?

If he does run I really hope his campaign slogan is "Chaos with Ed Miliband".
Verdict of one Labour grandee I just bumped into: “Ed Miliband is the person most likely to be the most next Prime Minister”.

This should be a lifetime ban. Period. If you fire a gun in public spaces you will be barred for life from owning a firearm. But driving a vehicle in a way that would instantly end the life of anyone you hit? A fine and a slap on the wrist.

Yeah, and this is a time-bomb that's been obviously going to go off for almost *my entire lifetime*. Thatcher brought in right-to-buy and sold off huge swathes of council housing, stock which still hasn't been replenished, *in 1980*.
How we do pensions and retirement income in this country is predicated on a few assumptions, one of which is that old people have minimal housing costs and/or security of tenure. It's not happening anymore, and will get worse.

I wish she was wrong but a lifetime in tech tells me she is not. I have witnessed the most childish, inappropriate, unprofessional behaviour from men in tech so many times, and it was given a pass because they were good at programming. I was never afforded the same grace as a woman.

If you want to know how much this is about protecting women and children and how much of it is about surveillance and removing bodily autonomy from people then remember this is the party who are totally down with friend of Jeffery Epstein Peter Mandelson.
Hidden in the controversial about UK "choking ban" proposal are a host of even more egregious proposals that could:

* make camming illegal
* redefine escort ads as pimping
* render model contracts unenforceable
* criminalize discussions of teen sexuality

And a whole lot more ...
Moral panic about rough sex gives way to censorship in the UK
British regulators and lawmakers are hot on a measure that would make possessing or publishing strangulation porn a crime.

Wow👇🏼👇🏼😱 It’s saying something when Epstein said Trump is the worst person he’d ever met, “not one decent cell in his body.. so yes dangerous”

You watch how fast Farage pivots from vigorous defence of his good “friend” Trump to righteous condemnation if it becomes clear he’s toast❗️
"I have met some very bad people....none as bad as trump.

Not one decent cell in his body..so yes - dangerous."

“Cycle to Work should be about helping ordinary commuters switch to greener travel, not giving tax breaks to high earners buying £4,000 e-bikes for weekend rides in the Surrey Hills”.

To the contrary, £4k can get a young family out of a car and onto a cargo bike in a cycle lane.

Worth noting here as well that- unlike in the Commons, where the Speaker selects which amendments are debated- in the Lords, any peer can insist on having their amendment debated and voted on (although there aren't *usually* lots of amendments pushed to a vote)
NEW: 942 amendments have been laid down in the House of Lords ahead of the Assisted Dying Bill's committee stage in the chamber, which starts tomorrow.

This is believed to be a record for a bill at committee stage. It's going to be an intense debate.

New York Times is officially a republican propaganda piece and not just as a conspiracy theory now. It's pretty clear it has been a policy for well over a decade.
NYT had details of Trump's engagement with Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking and *hid it for him*, at the same time it was crucifying Clinton as untrustworthy due to her document retention & security.
