Donald Trump is a convicted criminal.

The Trump administration is a criminal organization.

Of course he is going out of his way to help criminals.
So we know that Trump intervened to make Ghislaine Maxwell's life easier.

And that he intervened to make Andrew Tate's life easier.

I wonder how many sex traffickers Donald has gone out of his way to help that we don't know about.
NEW: The White House intervened on behalf of accused sex trafficker Andrew Tate during a federal investigation.

“It was so offensive to what we’re all here to do, to uphold the law and protect the American people,” one official involved said.

Are Republicans fine with this?

This is an interesting article, with some good quotes from @clareblackwood.bsky.social from @thebeaverton.com & others.

Did Jimmy Kimmel 'mislead' people with Charlie Kirk comments, and does it matter? | CBC News

Jimmy Kimmel did not lie.

And he did not disparage Charlie Kirk or take joy in his death.

He mentioned that Republicans were scrambling to show the shooter wasn’t one of them.

Which was true.

He didn’t say the shooter WAS one of them, just that they were trying to prove otherwise.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel
Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

People want everything to be a binary between dooming and “we’re so back” but I’ll just say this is both a really troubling attack on press freedom and an open admission that your regime is fragile enough to feel threatened by Jimmy fucking Kimmel

Very much looking forward to Elon Musk’s spirited defense of Jimmy Kimmel’s free speech.
America is now the home of government censorship. If you thought this only happened someplace else like North Korea, Russia or Iran, you’d be wrong. Trump has put the USA right alongside the most repressive governments in the world.
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr: "There's actions we can take on licensed broadcasters. It's long past the time that...Comcast and Disney say 'We're not gonna run Kimmel anymore...because we licensed broadcasters are running the possibly of fines or licensed revocation from the FCC.'"

This is why the media is mostly assiduously reporting the cancellation as being about comments about Kirk (even tho Kimmel said nothing remotely offensive about Kirk) instead of reporting the truth
"President got a late night TV show canceled" seems like one of those stories that penetrates the public consciousnesses better than stuff like "president threatens the independence of the Federal Reserve"

It’s always about the money
WOW -- a screaming Patel crashes out in response to Schiff's questions about Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and calls him "the biggest fraud to ever sit in the United States Senate" and "an utter coward" and "political buffoon"
