I was almost convinced that “James Bond” was itself a code name, so was passed from on agent to the next.
Or just go the Marvel / DC route, and have continuity within each actor’s films but not necessarily between them. Simple.

Today I learned (thanks, NPR) that from 1875 to 1975, there were more than 6,000 commercial shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. The publicity of song led to safety standard changes and there has not been a single commercial wreck since then.

Yesterday the shock of being an orphan hit me and I slept, got up for a wee & a pint of water, & went back to sleep again. I’ve managed to stay awake today but not all the ADHD meds in the world are helping me focus. It’s very unfair that bereavement requires so much admin and executive functioning.

Dad died yesterday morning, in the hour between being washed and dressed, and having his breakfast arrive.
I think I’m doing ok: I feel weird and numb; relieved that he’s not in distress any more, but guilty that the thought of all the admin is more overwhelming than the actual death.

I keep meaning to look up the maximum permitted dose of my antidepressants, but I get scared because what if I’m already on that?
can’t tell if my antidepressants aren’t working or if they just weren’t built for this. like, zoloft was introduced in the 90s it barely needed to work then. if you got sad you could just buy a house.
