"What's good for the Michigoose is good for the Michigander"
Because I'm in Michigan this weekend I'm taking this opportunity to argue, yet again, that this would be the better slogan
Because I'm in Michigan this weekend I'm taking this opportunity to argue, yet again, that this would be the better slogan
On a related note I think Michigan's "Pure Michigan" slogan could really use some workshopping (sounds like a bottled water ad) and would like to throw "What's good for the Michigoose is good for the Michigander" out there
It feels really desperate and thirsty when states put their tourism website on their license plates. Yeah I can’t wait to check out visit PA dot com once I get out of this traffic. Get real

The cure to the loneliness epidemic is just liking things.
There's a whole generation that learned irony before sincerity and now they're trapped. Can't be earnest without a layer of self-deprecation. Can't be enthusiastic without signaling awareness of how cringe enthusiasm is.
The price of never being vulnerable is never connecting.

40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion

I tried to whistle over a stray cat in my neighborhood and a woman walked by, who I worried thought I whistled at her. So I said “im whistling at the cat” but when I looked back down at it I realized it was just an old fast food bag

However long this one ends up being we've got to get rid of these things. Can't pass a new budget? Previous year's rolls forward as an automatic CR until you do, done.
GOP SEN. JOHN KENNEDY: It may be 2026 when we'll come out of the shutdown.
REPORTERS: 😳
KENNEDY: I'm not kidding, you guys. I mean, you see what I see. Okay? This shutdown is going to last a long time. What's going to get us out of it?

I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

Love when I get a haircut and they overstyle it so much and put so much shit in it I look like Javier Milei. The first thing I tell them is that I don't own a hair dryer and it's like they take that as a challenge "Yeah it looks great, thanks" [IMMEDIATELY goes home to wash it out]

Me when spending 20 minutes fixing an incredibly minor line spacing issue in Word that no normal person can even perceive but is the first thing I noticed upon opening the file
Artist be like if I shift this line 0.05 cm to the left, increase overlay by 2%, and move this character’s head slightly by 3° will make a life changing difference that everyone notices

I think democrats should push for a thorough review of all Elon Musk govt contracts as part of their 2026-8 portfolio. Why are taxpayers financing the work of a racist near-trillionaire? Leaving that unexamined was one of the biggest failures of the last Dem majority.
