Elon saying he’s going to reprogram his chatbot’s view of history is a perfect example of why these kinds of AI products aren’t the neutral “tools” people always defend them as. They’re little political projects reflecting the ideologies of their creators

Showing up at a crime scene with two cups of coffee and handing one to the officer in charge while asking him, “So, what do we have here?” is only appropriate if you’re a cop. I know that now.

People moving weird ain't new. But people feeling comfortable moving weird is a very recent thing. Being weird is not what I'm talking about. I said "moving weird." And if you're not 100% sure what that means, then this post isn't for you. Learn to be ok with that.

Involving young people in their local community decision making has a huge positive impact on them and their communities? Maybe there's a broader lesson here about how we should shape our democratic systems 🤔

I have a pretty standard way of responding when someone likes something that I don’t.

I leave them be to enjoy themselves and be happy.

If I’m curious, we’re friends, and it’s appropriate, then maybe I’ll ask them what about that thing really makes them happy? Maybe I’m missing something great!
