@govpritzker.illinois.gov I want you to watch this video of me slammed to the ground- why are you allowing this to happen to people you know are on the right side of history. They tied my hands behind my back and when I asked them to be loosened because I was going numb they said, “STFU.”
at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.

Today marked Day One of Customs and Border Patrol’s Charlotte Operation. And as we’ve come to expect from these operations, federal agents targeted workers throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas.

I'm spending the weekend meditating on what circumstances would encourage me to spend several hours discussing the weather and gratitude with the fascists in my family at Thanksgiving.

Such a good *idea* for sparking change, but I haven't seen much development of my abilities in previous attempts.

Catherine Ferrell was born in 1912 in Warsaw, a small town about 100 miles southeast of Durham. By 21, Ferrell should have been able to vote.

Marlon Brando? The guy who played Superman's alien Dad?
Dwight Yoakam? The guy who played Warden Burns in Logan Lucky?
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

Skimmed this and could follow the argument, but haven't read enough to say much about the findings. What's more interesting to me is whether the average American could triangulate between the intersecting correlations and come away with an informed opinion. Clearly the NYT couldn't.
Look. It would be great if there was one simple trick for winning elections. But 'just be more moderate' isn't it.

In fact, you can use the NYT's exact method to 'prove' a 'Progressive Advantage' of +1.4 pts.

This piece shows what's really going on: funded candidates do better than unfunded ones.
The New York Times’ “Moderation Advantage” Is a Statistical Illusion
After accounting for money and incumbency the supposed electoral bonus for moderate candidates vanishes entirely.

To the craven "comedians" who are STILL not speaking up: The manager at the Chicago Laugh Factory was arrested by ICE. They filed no charges, he's a US citizen, and his family doesn't know where he is.

They are coming for all of us. Grow a fucking spine and say something while you still can.
