I always felt Redford could play gravitas with his eyes closed. Condor or Brubaker for that. I wish he could have played his comic roles more against type like Bruce Willis, goofy and cringe. For that reason, A Walk in the Woods is underrated. Choose Sneakers if you want a more ensemble cast.

Challenge, post your last photo of DC to show what a hellhole it is.

This Monstera burrito was amazing and halal, the espresso from there was also top notch. The only thing I was afraid of was running out of water on the C&O trail. Seriously, get those pumps certified for drinking.

HankG just did a bit on skeptical hedonism ostensibly about seatbelts, but the current administration elected by our country has this idea as its defining mission. Seatbelt skepticism also explains the decadence of tariffs. youtu.be/FRjGhCQi4U8?...

I was a big fan of the Pacific Coast irises when I lived in Seattle. Not sure they'd do very well here in NC. www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/inde...

I love sunsets. Tonight was deep and punch drunk with color. I really like how they're emergent. After watching the fading light for a half hour, my wife bounded into the kitchen exclaiming its virtues. I looked again, stunned at how the deep wine colors popped.

Five minutes later, it was gone.

the warning label should be outlined prominently in red, particularly Gemini - which hides the AI disclaimer under a "show more" button - labeling it as as "experimental" in a much smaller light-colored font.

My current favorite time of year in Durham. The underbrush clears out, the humidity drops, the sun migrates south but sticks around. Happy Saturday y'all.

Dunno what to say about the rest of this state, but Durham did their homework. the bike/sidewalk and parks bonds passed! thanks to everyone who put in so many more hours than I could squeeze in last month to get the word out. and to Bike Durham for helping advocate for better transportation policy.

I probably posted this on here already, but the photo tickles me, and the kraft paper is on brand. He also likes cardboard and sisal rope.
