Anybody remember the Millenium trilogy (starting with Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) by Stieg Larsson? How it ended with the evil force causing the destruction being a worldwide sex trafficking ring? Larsson was a journalist, as well as author, and died of a heart attack at age 50. Interesting.

Northern lights are out in NW Montana. Not sure how far the visibility area extends, but you gotta love the end of daylight savings so I can see them without staying up half the night. 😉

Americans can be progressive, conservative, libertarian or whatever they want to call themselves. What they can't be is against the rule of law. If you're against the rule of law, you're anti-American.

Thanks, Persephone. I do think that if one has the means it’d be wise now to collect hard copies of books you value that are critical of the moment or targeted in other ways. No book burning now, but if people can be disappeared books certainly can.
I’m actually planning on buying The Undertow after borrowing it from the library strictly so that I can ensure it’s available for my son to read one day as a primary source on this time, bc I think it will help explain some things. I often wonder about my family’s experiences under Mussolini so
