The people are not happy with the abuse of our immigrant neighbors and more. Our economy needs immigrants. And immigrants are people. Treat them as such. Request for asylum is legal and violating it is a misdemeanor, nothing more.

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

As Governor, Tim Walz DISCOVERED billions in fraud and prosecuted it.

Republicans want him recalled.

As a business owner, Rick Scott COMMITTED billions in fraud and was prosecuted for it.

Republicans elected him Governor.

No, you aren't crazy. Republicans are.

I was in my early teens in the aftermath of Prop 187 in California. For roughly three quarters of my life I’ve seen Republicans demonize people who look like me, so I’ll be damned if I’m going to let some white leftists try to tell me that Democrats are the same as Republicans on immigration.

I have questions.
More: the Ballroom would sit on the 2nd floor of a new 2-story bldg, with a multi-level passageway connecting it to the president’s primary residence. It also features monumental stairs, guest suites, executive offices, & a new visitor entrance to the White House w/ expanded interpretive areas.

It was amazing to write with @ehayot.bsky.social & each of us put our stank into every part of this essay.

I have no memory of how we drafted it in October, but when we came back to it a couple weeks ago, I felt this paragraph in my bones.
