On the eve of what would have been his 90th birthday, my heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation for my late father, Szabolcs Soby Kalman. He lived an exemplary life, on both sides of the Atlantic. May he rest in eternal peace.

Sending a warmhearted shout-out to my new followers from Poland 🇵🇱 .

As a Hungarian-American born stateside to an immigrant family fleeing Soviet persecution, and inspired by Lech Wałęsa & Solidarność, it is an honor and a privilege to meet you.

To better days ahead.

So honored, and humbled, to attend the funeral of legendary Hungarian filmmaker Béla Tarr tomorrow in Budapest.

His deeply spiritual films had a profound impact on me, and so many, around the world.

Nobel Prize-winning novelist László Krasznahorkai will be giving the eulogy. 🕯️
