Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

"Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep."
"Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there – and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials." www.startribune.com/ice-raids-mi...

If you campaigned for the presidency on a promise to destroy these assholes, you would win a landslide the size of FDR in 1936, when he campaigned on a promise to destroy these assholes.
Yes, Peter decided that the continued existence of our democracies isn't compatible with his desired level of personal freedom.

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.
After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:

Immigration officials said agent shot two ‘vicious gang members’ in Portland, but records obtained by the Guardian reveal US prosecutor contradicted claims

Tear gas is banned in international warfare, yet classified as a “riot control agent” that law enforcement can use for crowd control.

“It just doesn’t work well, and it hits the weakest people the most, and causes the most complications in them,” an anesthesiology professor at Duke University said.
Tear Gas Is Way More Dangerous Than Police Let On
In the middle of a respiratory pandemic, law enforcement agencies have used tear gas in especially dangerous ways. The chemical agent also seeps into homes, contaminates food, furniture, skin and surf...

Reminder that "jaywalking" was literally made up by american car manufacturers to shift the blame for accidents from drivers to pedestrians. "Jay" was a slang term meaning "idiot" or "rube".
“Jaywalking is permitted in London. In 1966, the police tried to crack down on it, but gave up after three months.”

People walk and cycle on roads by right, people drive under licence.

Jaywalking is not a thing in English law and Waymo must not change that.

Because they did. It has been the stated goal for these groups and individuals for well over a decade.

They are accelerationist fascists whose goal is the end of the world so they could rule over the ashes.
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

This is a good point re: Portland today

This wasn't on federal land

It wasn't when agents were claiming to do any enforcement activity

It was federal agents shooting gas at children and union families in the streets

Im not a lawyer, but I dont see how qualified immunity counts here

It's assault
People need to understand that this protest was approved by city. The fact that the public still got gassed & flash bangs shows that city does NOT have the public’s back.

The Philly District Attorney compared ICE to Nazis & publicly vowed to hunt them down if they broke the law/harmed their people.

If a DA rules against an ICE agent, that ruling stands IN SPITE OF the supremacy clause.

Where is DA Vasquez in the conversation? Where is the pressure on his office?

This is crucially important. Edtl is not just a local actor. He is coordinating with the Trump Administration to try to use federal power to dismantle Oregon's vote by mail system. This is based on no actual evidence of fraud. It's based on self-serving vibes, like most of Edtl's political positions

To abolish ICE, we’re going to have to abolish the Democratic Party
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:
