What you need to understand is that the old Pac-12 was really good at spoiling each others records, mostly due to spite, so the Pac-12 never looked as dominant as the other conferences. Now their remnants get to be heartbreaking pains-in-the-asses to everyone else.

Last year Cal went 2-5 in one score games to blow a shot at a special season. This year the bears went 4-1 in one score games just to achieve averageness. Go Bears!

What is this "Texas didn't schedule cupcakes" bullshit? They did play #! Ohio State, but their other nonconference games were bad non-P4 teams like Sam Houston, San Jose State, and UTEP.

A) The Pilgrims never turned on the Wampanoags. The Puritans who did were a whole different group of people.
B) Thanksgiving became a holiday to celebrate whooping the Confederates.

Thanksgiving is problematic. Giving thanks is not. As someone who wants to remember the attempted genocide of indigenous people but also likes a reminder to practice gratitude, I like to use Indigenous People's Month to support (and be grateful for) indigenous creators. A partial list! /1

I regret to inform that this has come up again, with both the mayor and a different councilmember appealing the project. The mayor's appeal seems to be pro forma, but the councilmember appeal is literally about people parking next to the school and walking home. pomona.legistar.com/LegislationD...

There are specific part(s) of Vegas they all want to move to though, since you can buy a condo a mile or two off the Strip for under $200k. Summerlin does get you all of Irvine except for the nice weather, for half the cost though.

one of my unique skills that I bring to the pro-housing movement is a strange ability to post relatively anodyne statements that, for some reason, drive NIMBYs to utter madness, which negatively polarizes normies in favor of pro-housing policies
Sometimes I’m like “maybe I can tell my wife about online” and then I realize some of online is like “the Netflix comedy lady’s villain origin story is being furious at Jeopardy Sam for supporting building more housing” and then I’m like nah.

Rolling Stone recently ran a really terrible headline that lets a huge environmental bad guy off the hook for giving people cancer. I'm already ratioing them on Twitter but would appreciate some eyes here as well
You absolutely need to change this headline. It's unacceptable and disrespectful to the people harmed by the pollution.
This article itself makes it clear that the water pollution linked to cancer and miscarriages is coming entirely from nitrate pollution from farms.
