5.2.2.8.1 Clear Zones A clear zone of 7 to 10 ft [2 to 3 m] or more from the edge of the traveled way, appropriately graded with relatively flat slopes and rounded cross-sectional design, is desirable. An exception may be made where guardrail protection is provided. The clear zone should be clear of all unyielding objects such as trees, sign supports, utility poles, light poles, and any other fixed objects that might increase the potential severity of a crash when a vehicle runs off the road. Further guidance on clear zones can be found in the AASHTO Roadside Design Guide (5). A source of alternative clear zone design criteria that may be considered for local roads and streets that carry 2,000 vehicle per day or less is the AASHTO Guidelines for Geometric Design of Very Low-Volume Local Roads (1).

What they should do is publish an anchor time at Lansdale and basically use the hour or whatever time to make as many trips as possible but in one general direction. This is how RTC On Demand does it.

For the Church's Chicken location, they took over the entire chicken shop but didn't even add a pickup window outside. It is in a challenging part of town, so I understand they don't want customers in the building, but it is also a walkable part of town and they did this on the cheap.

We have abundant housing pushing their agendas in our city, to avoid these monstrosities to be built in their lovely little quaint towns. We are the city of services and now overdevelopment of housing. Too many residents have to work for a living and can not keep up with the agenda items being pushed through. It would be nice to have some retail in these lots instead of slamming so many units into a tiny space towering over an elementary school. Such poor planning and little consideration for the residents and their children. • Reply

Moreover, I am deeply concerned about the lack of parking that this development will create. Overflow parking will end up on Jefferson and Gordon st , which a lines in the front and side of Lincoln Elementary property, this will make it extremely difficult for parents to drop off and pick up their children safely. With limited parking options, parents may resort to double parking, leading to increased congestion and a chaotic drop-off and pick-up environment. This scenario creates a dangerous situation for our children, who may be forced to run across the street amidst heavy traffic. San Diego MTS has been quietly adding a lot of high quality transit infrastructure without the rest of the state noticing. MTS 215 has center running bus lanes down Park, there is a full on guideway for MTS 225 through Otay Ranch, and a brand new transit center next to the border.

The tentative rebrand date from the Amtrak San Joaquins to Gold Runner is November 3, 2025.
Background: On March 19, 2025, the San Joaquin Joint Powers Authority (Authority) was presented with the finalized brand name, design, and standards for the Gold Runner, which will replace the service’s existing name, ‘Amtrak® San JoaquinsSM’ Working in coordination with the State and Amtrak, staff have been able to plan for a rebranding launch date of November 3, 2025. To successfully introduce the new Gold Runner brand to passengers, communities, and stakeholders, there will be a series of pre- and post-launch activities and efforts that will take place. Staff will need support in the planning, production, media placement, social engagement, and collateral development activities to reposition the Gold Runner brand and promote awareness across target demographics. Critical, strategic initiatives include: • Development and production of advertising campaigns and marketing assets for the new brand. • Digital updates for the websites managed by the Authority, as well as Amtrak.com. • Update to communication channels for social media and email marketing. • Outreach to stakeholders and community partners. • Overhaul of signage at stations and bus stops along the route. • Coordination of media events to promote the brand launch. • Production and installation of exterior logos for train and bus liveries. It is anticipated that completion of these initiatives will take several years and the support of different vendors to accomplish the entire effort. For example, the exterior work required for the train equipment will be done in parallel with other projects and be based on equipment availability. As an initial step, staff requests a budget allocation to bring the new brand into the market with advertising, marketing, and outreach material support as outlined in the FY25/26 and 26/27 Annual Business Plan.
