Oh, I'm sorry. I thought in this new hell dimension, Bingo doesn't exist. It never existed. You describe Bingo to somebody here and they look at you like a goddamn fool.

obviously I’m not a parent so I haven’t directly experienced the horrors described here but still reasonably sure I‘d rather have Baby Shark in the background halloween to january whatever than fucking jingle bells, but yes just end the madness
If we had to hear “Baby Shark” everywhere we went for two whole months out of the year we’d throw a fit, right?

And rightfully so.

So tell me, why do we put up with it when the song is “Frosty the Snowman”?

from a religious minority living under Christian hegemony year-round

(factcheck: true)

the public space stuff this time of year is a lot

(though I'd 100% take public Christmas but w/national abortion access if playing forced choice, ofc)

PLEASE DO THIS

it is a kindness
When I worked at a bookstore, I quickly learned that people cannot tell the difference between Xmas music and any Baroque or Elizabethan music album that doesn't get too organ-ish. I used this to my advantage.

One customer caught on... AND THANKED ME

To be clear, a relationship would also have been an easy no for me, but the casual and OPPOSITE OF ENTICING way they dropped this on me was very unappealing. ENTICE ME!!!! Okay, how can we apply this...

IF you are going share something about RFK Jr., this is the story to share. I don't really give a shit who the man fucks. He is killing us. His "work" results in death and suffering among children. He is the worst human ghoul.
He has betrayed the country and his own family. #MedSky
Devastating essay about living with a terminal cancer diagnosis at 35, made more devastating by the author's relation to the health and human services secretary who's spent the past year cutting cancer research.

When I was diagnosed with leukemia, my first thought was that this couldn’t be happening to me, to my family.

Alice's words speak to us still. As a chronically ill person, I will keep listening. What a beautiful, bold, *brilliant* life well lived.

Bodily autonomy is the ultimate principle here and if we’re gonna make it stick we need to do away with the deep-seated notion that certain kinds of bodies are bad and undesirable to the point of being other people’s personal business and indeed a social problem
Fatphobia goes hand in hand with transphobia and is rampant even in otherwise progressive spaces because it makes people feel a sense of control to police their own and other people's bodies. It is social poison and we will never eliminate transphobia without eliminating anti-fatness.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It’s also really cruel to say this to someone struggling with depression
please retire the phrase "i wish i had time to be depressed"

1) nobody has time to be depressed
2) depression doesn't care if you're busy
3) willing yourself to force through symptoms bc you have stuff to do is only effective for mild-medium depression, not severe
4) it's a shitty thing to say
