The only truly devestating interview you could do with Trump is a series of factual questions asked by someone with no affect: “How does a bill become a law?” “Name three countries where American troops are stationed.” “Will you be raising tariffs on Wakanda?”

The NFL needs more flags. Feel like the game is most enjoyable when there’s a flag on every single play, as opposed to every other play.

Can you think of a single movie in which there is a video from the government denouncing its political opponents playing on a loop in public spaces in which that government was the good guy?
A new Noem video is being played at airports trashing Democrats.

So cool that whenever someone asks the president, “did you eat the Lindbergh baby” he’s like, “no but I’d be allowed to, I have the right to, I might do it later”

Reuters photographer Jonathan Ernst noticed that Bondi flipped open a file during the Senate hearing and he zoomed in.

Inside were her crib notes for attacking the senators.

The GOP now practicing Cliff's Notes Fascism

In other words, under oath Bondi was purely a performance.

The Murdoch Settlement reminds me of my favorite thing in the family's battle: the transcript of Rupert's attorney trying to undermine son James' ability to run Fox News by pointing out that he didn't understand Fox News' business model was telling viewers what they wanted to hear, not the truth.

The Orioles are trending too, and I want to remind everyone that the Texas Rangers are the only MLB team not to have a Pride Day at their field, so the Orioles always hold their Pride Day when they're playing the Rangers at home so Rangers fans/players get one too.

Go Orioles.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

It's hard to grasp the intellectual failures at play here.

To believe that the word "equity" describes something instrincally bad and that it could not have any other meanings.

Just "See bad word, rip it out."

Also: imagine being at war with the very concept of fairness.
Just amazing: Trump grew angry over a Biden-era program with the word "equity" in its name, so he ended it. But a key part of the program was sending money to red states to expand internet access in rural/MAGA country. Now they might not get it.

New piece from me:

Angry Trump Kills “Woke” Program—and Accidentally Screws MAGA Voters
It’s called the Digital Equity Act. That word—“equity”—caught the White House’s attention. So now Trump is moving to nix funding—but it could cut off millions destined for red America.

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.
