Thinking about it, the difference is he made Trump look weak at a bad moment for him. Schumer and Pelosi did the same chummy NY thing to him in 2018 and got the 1.8 billion omnibus out of it and made him look weak too.
Imagine the commentary on this website if Schumer and Jeffries had exchanged friendship bracelets with Donald Trump.
