Virtually every institution I engage with regularly—the university, healthcare—is falling to pieces in front of my eyes.

But live music? It continues to deliver everything its social contract has always promised: community, joy, a vision of a better world.

Go to the gig.

The Last Big Case Against Trump Has Been Dropped
The U.S. justice and political systems have shown that they can’t hold the president and his allies to account for trying to steal the 2020 election.

They’re never gonna have another American pope. They’re gonna be like “the last one had raves”

Lmao Pope Leo threw a rave for an archbishop's 75th birthday this is kind of incredible

Summers should choose the most straightforward path and resign. Should he refuse to, though, the University must cut ties with its former president to the greatest extent possible.

Guys who crawled up into fame by running small businesses and mastering SEO and cloutchasing being more right wing than people who mastered a collaborative art form seems pretty intuitive to me
just an observation but it does seem like the entertainment class of tiktok lifestyle influencers and reality stars is going to be way more right wing than actors, directors, and tv/movie writers.

Val and I checked repeatedly because we simply couldn't believe no national or local news organizations covered this letter from 18 AGs in support of trans youth care and against FTC overreach.

If you find any stories, let us know, but it seems to be our exclusive.
On Friday 18 blue state attorneys general BLASTED the Federal Trade Commission, telling it to back off trans youth healthcare and warning of an insidious attempt to reshape the regulation of medicine in the US.

And nobody covered it.

For some context, we could have made the monthly child tax credit that cut child poverty by 40% permanent for $100 billion a year. The return on investment would have been $15 per $1.

I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

Now 1800 men detained at the so-called Alligator Alcatraz gulag can’t be located

The last political column I was allowed to write in the @washingtonpost.com was a criticism of Obama.

His people took issue with my piece, but we were respectful.

Now he is tweeting in support of me.

Or used to work.

The right only believes in free speech when it protects their voices. Jimmy Kimmel floated the obvious, maybe the Charlie Kirk killer wasn’t some mythical “antifa leftist” but came from their own side, and suddenly his show is on “indefinite pause.”

One step closer to authoritarianism.

Bill Pulte's accusation, the sole pretext Trump used to fire her from the Fed, was that she claimed two homes as primary residence.

"I thought someone was going to kill me."
Why didn’t some of the Epstein survivors speak out earlier? “I thought someone was going to kill me,” one explained.

As another asked, “Why did the government work so hard to protect Jeffrey Epstein and not victims like me?”
