ICE is beyond reform. And today the House is voting to bankroll more terror. Hell no.

Sauerbrunn, Imani Dorsey, & Gabby Vincent have all posted to Instagram with similar, personal messages as West Virginia v. BPJ & Little v. Hecox are being heard before the Supreme Court.

Can't help but wish they were joined by a longer list of players from the many pro leagues in the US.
Becky Sauerbrunn on Instagram, “I’m choosing to release this video today, January 13th, because right now the US Supreme Court is deliberating a case that could change the future of women’s sport.”

An important video:

This is so real, they tried it this morning in Bloomington. They stopped a man, people started honking horns, they split up to fuck with everyone else, which brought more attention and more noise, people got out of their cars and started filming, they left. They're cowards.
obviously not in the sense that it’s stopping everything, but they are being stalled so much by trying to find places where they aren’t watched, wasting so much manpower and resources on crowd control and even arresting observers they know will just get released. i am so proud of everyone

ICE also murdered a man in Chicago in September. It wasn't on camera like this one, but they're there to murder you, that is very clear.

The more money, resources, and power you give to ICE, the more folks they're going to harm and kill. It's as simple as that.

I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK
I’m eating lunch, I’m having a panic attack, I’m charging my phone, and then I’m going back out to try and keep my neighborhood safe.

Screaming because a player like Midge Purce falls out of the criteria for an HIP contract but you have worms for brains if you think she’s not an extremely marketable player

Allocation by any other name. Making marketability a requirement is a dangerous game to play in a racist sport. But that's my little ol opinion.

there is really no difference between the current administration and having the country run by david duke
On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

Once again a reminder: We can have trans rights, bodily autonomy, gender nonconformity, and freedom of expression, or we can have none of these things.

There’s no third option.

Unrelated but ironic to current NWSL events: San Diego Wave's 7v7 World Sevens team is one of four remaining in the hunt today for a $2M prize for the winner of the three-day tournament.

#NWSL's team salary cap for the whole 2025 season was $3.5M.

Loser shit, get people like Jessica Berman out.
Keeping Trinity Rodman is imperative if the NWSL wants to compete with the European leagues. Jessica Berman and league officials can’t let PTSD from the past keep them from making this deal.

In essence, the NWSL is claiming that since Chicago *and only Chicago* can't meet this threshold that all clubs must operate with this restriction. It's frustrating.

The 2026 NWSL salary cap represents less than a 1/4th of the combined estimated 2025 annual revenue of $212,300,000 (excluding expansion teams in both calculations), far less than the 50/50 split in major men's North American pro leagues.

Up next is a chart showing the required or de facto percentage of annual league revenue that goes to player salaries. It’s basically half of all revenue in the major men’s sports. This is why the salary caps adjust annually in most leagues: they are paired with the annual league revenue.

USL players have been collective bargaining for over a year and their ask is for owners to simply support professional standards like QoL increases and year round healthcare.

How can ownership say these negotiations are occurring in good faith while performing stunts like this?
