“[If you’re 🤑] you’re certainly going to be less horny about a product that is slower and less addicting. RSS lacks a stickiness that keeps you compelled to go back. It’s much closer to a tool, allowing you to create something unique and private, that is only as useful or enjoyable as you make it.”
“It’s another reason to love RSS: seems like the tech lords hate it.” Why you should let RSS feeds back into your (digital) life.
Why you should get (back) into RSS curation.
Right after college, I moved to San Francisco, a city where I knew one person. I had a lonely time at first, and in particular I struggled to stay connected to the friends I no longer shared a camp…

3. [Espirit de Corps - Medium 10] "I think you should read it for yourself, Kim."

A key aspect of AI-Chat delusions seems to be a basic relationship people have with technology. If a human started telling you that you'd discovered a new kind of physics you'd probably be a bit skeptical but there's something here where the fact "a computer said it" catapults you into derangement

To this day it still boggles my mind that there are people out there who will INSIST Evangelion, for example, makes zero sense because they focused entirely on background details and not the very simple things the show was actually saying with its characters.

Something to keep an eye on if you watch those godzilla movies: after a while they stop using a guy in a suit and start using something else. Not sure what

The sloppy use of the term AI also lends validity to things like ChatGPT because the common understanding of AI is just generative garbage.
Scientists designed a purpose-built tool for drug and disease analysis. They did not type "Please make a drug?" into a prompt window and claim brilliance.

I really dislike how science has started calling almost any fancy computational technique AI. 🧪
The framing of this entire article makes it sound like a benevolent AI independently made these drugs.
That is *pure fantasy*.
Instead: a team of scientists made a machine learning model for a study.
