I think this is now the most beautiful book I own. Yes, it’s Adrian’s text (as good as ever) and Anderida did amazing work here, from typography to binding, etc. but my lord, Ian McQue’s art goes f-ing hard.

it's funny, but trump's followers are never going to check his sources, this headline is now a canon fact for tens of millions of americans that won't die for decades
With a “WOW!,” President Trump posts a claim about DOGE and “royalties linked to Obamacare” that originated on a satirical website. That site’s own About section reads: “Everything on this website is fiction… If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.”

The key point here is that for Tories switching to Reform, it's not *really* a tactical vote. There's clear air between Lib Dem's and Labour's policies and politics, and between Green's and Labour's; between the Tories and Reform it's really just a different colour rosette.
The crucial bit of this tactical 'only Labour or Reform can win here' VI poll, though, is that Labour and Reform would be tied.
Not enough Lib Dem or Green voters are (right now) prepared to tactically vote for Labour to offset the number of Tories willing to tactically vote for Reform.

In addition to everything Dylan says in this thread, it’s just a bit tragic for *a government four years from an election* to be saying “they hate him more than us“. That just shouldn’t be your focus four years out!

Amazing news from NYC.
Bit of a heads-up based on the reaction to a left-wing, Muslim mayor of London: the "Commie" stuff from the press and the GOP won't last long, it'll be wall to wall Islamaphobic scaremongering: Sharia courts "no-go zones," white displacement, curry smells, violent crime.

the really telling thing about this is what it says about how affordable the welfare state really is
I keep being told spending cuts are easy. Honest proposals such as those recently outlined by Policy Exchange show they are not

The Shire was doing fine until they let a fascist demagogue ("Sharkey" aka Saruman) take over, close the gates, impose a bunch of thug-enforced rules, and despoil nature for profit.

Another one to chalk up to Hollywood stereotypes, I suspect. Films and TV shows have been feeding us the "once successful writer struggling with writer's block" stereotype for decades.
People who aren’t writers think writer’s block is at least as big and real a problem as I thought quicksand would be, as a child.
