The comments on this are all about how sweet it is and I feel insane. Using AI to make fake memories of your grandma with dementia and telling her they happened and then filming her reaction

Reminder on this day of Advent:

If your Christianity isn't oriented around bringing down the powerful, liberating the oppressed, feeding the poor, and sending the rich away empty, the Theotokos says you are doing it wrong.

Just a tip, if people write complaining or asking for advice about their Windows machine or MS apps, it is probably because they have to use them. Replying with "just use LibreOffice" or "I have used Linux for years" is just arsehole behaviour.

Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

To be honest, given this administration's fondness for sex abusers, I'm surprised that they didn't mandate Gill Sans.

I tried to make a joke about Ulysses but I just couldn't bring it home

OpenAI Loses Key Discovery Battle as It Cedes Ground to Authors in AI Lawsuits
The issue has been a major battleground in discovery. OpenAI could be on the hook for hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars if it was aware it was infringing on copyrighted material.

THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.
