Politicians are terrified of an electorate they think is far more authoritarian and angry and right wing than it actually is, because they are out of touch because the literal media - the thing that mediates between public and polity - is corrupted

Went to the GP for a check up yesterday. GP, who also cycles, was surprised when I told him how much weight I can loose when on the trainer (up to 2kg). He was so surprised, I started doubting myself.

I said this as a sardonic joke but in reality, we need to be making sure fewer people are armed than giving the right to carry guns to more of them.

That this is happening makes me so sad because I know I never could have gotten through University if I had to write everything in class on paper in person. I was simply too disabled. Trying to stop AI usage in classrooms (understandable) is going to disproportionately impact disabled students.

That this is happening makes me so sad because I know I never could have gotten through University if I had to write everything in class on paper in person. I was simply too disabled. Trying to stop AI usage in classrooms (understandable) is going to disproportionately impact disabled students.
