It's now my bday today, it's been a journey this year. I got married, I moved (about to move again plz help!), I fought the government for 2 and a half months just to get my benefits, and I met some amazing new friends, both online and off.

Re: the Fremen, when @pelicanismo.bsky.social and I did our book club thing with Dune Messiah, this was one of the biggest sources of frustration—the 12 year jump that skips most of the jihad, and how there is therefore no grappling with how poorly suited the Fremen might be to other environments
