Better things are possible if you just believe in them and work for them and fight for them. (I am speaking in this case specifically about discounted breakfast burritos at the market in my neighborhood)

if you voted in Seattle you gotta make sure your ballot counted now
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

Go. Check. Your. Ballot.

I wrote a funny book to trick children into reading literature!
After generations of family adventures, Sawyer Lee is determined to sink in the couch! The problem is that it will take a regrettable amount of energy for him to escape the mysteries, conspiracies, and gourd-based festivities the whole town throws his way.

my extremely dumb vanity metric here is: can this project get up to 436 followers on its Kickstarter prelaunch page??

maybe I am less than a political genius but isn't the correct response to this "no, have the vote right now and then we'll talk"
“A promise of a vote on healthcare” is nothing

A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

The 8yo is playing duel newscasters with a friend. Very serious reads of the news copy.

"Top story. Someone got murdered."
"Oh well! Topper story: someone went boom boom in their panties."
"More top story. Someone got killed. Or maybe KO'd."

I don't think you have to hand it to him or anything, but I think Trump's hair looks better now. In 2016 it had a terrible, uncanny shape. Now it's just a wispy cloud hovering near his head. Big improvement imo

I mean, let's think about this. Yes, fundamentally, part of the joy of life is taking pleasure in things like absurd bassoon solos. No question. Eventually though we're all just Homer in hell eating all the donuts. We deserve our little bassoon solos, as a treat.
we're just here for the bassoon solos, man

It turns out that if you get reasonably good at Bolted! you can absolutely annihilate all previously known scoring records (53 points in one game, scored by me, the creator of the game, testing a solo mode against an automated player who did not play very well).

• want to be notified of the campaign launch
• want to help us build first-day momentum
• just enjoy clicking any instance of that cute little banner icon
• mindlessly do anything someone with a necromancy-themed card game asks of you

Wouldn't it be something if settlements from AI companies ended up becoming something like a functional UBI for artists and authors
OpenAI pirated large numbers of books and used them to train models.

OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.

A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.

Dick Cheney and I didn't agree on much -- in fact, hardly anything at all. That said, he was a man who believed very strongly in his beliefs, and who was led by his conviction in his beliefs to dark places, as I too am led by my beliefs to the conviction that Dick Cheney should rest in piss
