The discussion starts when the red-haired man asks if the bespectacled man has noticed how language is getting more abstract. He uses "let's kick ass" as an example, that initially meant to do violence to a particular ass-haver, it has later acquired a sense of "to do well at a particular task." The man continues by saying that ass itself in modern usage doesn't refer to a particular ass, but to a generalized platonic ass. A universal ass-adversary. Part 2/2 of a 7-panel SMBC comic update. The man continues by saying that "ass" is a transcendent world-ass, against which all must struggle. The bespectacled man tells him to please leave and never return. The final panel is a flash back to an unseen earlier segment of their conversation, where the bespectacled man asks the red-haired man what makes him feel he would contribute to their middle school English department, prompting the red-haired man to reply "I LOVE language."

Part 1/3 of a 10-panel SMBC comic update. Campaign aides are seen reacting to a situation - reporters found their candidate, Thompson having sex with a turkey. Again. At first they were cautiously optimistic, since there's no median-voter data on turkey-fucking. But then, the constituents turned out to be furious, as illustrated in a panel by someone posting online "Dammit, fucking a turkey just feed the narrative that he's a turkey fucker! #thompson2038" Part 2/3 of a 10-panel SMBC comic update. Surrogates went to talkshows for damage control. A panel shows the talkshow host saying that "what the working class are asking is why didn't the current administration f*** the turkey of inflation?" The following panel shows that damage control went better on podcasts. The podcast host says "You got people out here, who are judging this man purely based on his character, statements and actions, I mean, grow up!" with his co-host replying "wow, that is so real, bro." A third panel shows that the opposition admittedly had a solid case, showing a woman repetitively insisting that "he's a turkey-fucker," while also mimicking the action with her hands. Part 3/3 of a 10-panel SMBC comic update. The narration keeps going, saying that happily, due to decades of partisanship, the truth was received by supporters as wicked propaganda. This point is illustrated with another person posting vehemently that the other party are hypocrites to social media. The narration underlines that within 24 hours, the news had moved on from the turkey-fucker news, in this case, moved on to be cruel towards trans people. Once Thompson won the election, they refuse to answer any question regarding the "menage à turkey" because "elections have consequences." The final panel of the comic shows a character wondering if tearing moral character away from power will ultimately rip apart the fabric of state. Another characters replies that if so, they'll get amazing book deals.
