Do I see a little glimpse of the future in that second picture, perhaps? I would never suggest such a thing. But it has been a big week for hope, just overall.

Like, in just 10 short years he went from this to this. Big strong generals, tears in their eyes, saying what a glow up like they've never seen before

Do I want to hear the bassoon solo? Sure.
Is it important that I hear the bassoon solo in the limited time that remains in my life? Probably not a priority.

And that way it's scalable by saying, for an easier game, add resources, for a harder one, take them away (or add different constraints). What's probably unavoidable is the scenario, "I was doomed to fail this run because of the cards I got, that sucks." But I guess that's not unlike lots of games!

What I've been toying with for the solo mode is basically a limited resource pool -- can you accomplish X number of objectives with Y number of starting resources? Obviously your chances will differ depending on which exact objectives/cards you face this game.

Only 31 points this time :|
I assume that to be challenging, a good solo mode should also include the possibility of you not doing well, right? Like, some solitaire games are about beating the puzzle, others about achieving a good score, but in some there is the possibility that you just fail.
