Economic genocide? Wow, let's NOT use genocide to describe this.

It's a terrible idea. That's all.
One CEO called the idea a “disgusting insult” and “economic genocide against the Gen Z generation.” 👀

I stand with the union.
My dad called me about this last week and I forgot to research it.

This seems relevant to the last 24 hours but I’m sure some folks will still yell about AIPAC and lobbyists🤷🏾‍♀️

Well yeah…

That’s why folks need to be realistic & admit that nobody is coming out of this without feeling some pain.

The best thing you can do for yourself & your community is spend time preparing to outlast the other side.

Once November 2024 happened it was always going to come down to this.
"At that point, the Republican plan, in a nutshell, could be summarized in one word: wait.

GOP leaders, in the White House and on Capitol Hill, assumed that just enough Senate Democrats would cave under pressure. Those assumptions proved true."

Stop blaming "leftists" The issue was that Harris was so fucking incompetent the avarage voter thought she was worse than Trump.

No, that is not what happened. Read this.

Well, no, as a practical matter this is what happened. A promised Senate vote means nothing. There’s no guarantee Republicans will support extending the Obamacare subsidies and Speaker Johnson has already said he won’t even bring a fix to the floor.

If Kristallnacht was taught properly in schools, we’d know that antisemitism doesn’t start with swastikas, but with indifference. When universities treat Jewish fear as a PR issue instead of a moral one, antisemitism spawns and festers.

I am glad we established that you care more about optics than about helping people. You should not call yourself a liberal or progressive if you think this way.
Literally secured nothing new, that's all status quo, just starved a bunch of people and fucked up lives so Trump can crow that they caved. A promised vote only in the Senate on ACA, weak sauce.

They are delivering benefits to the American people. This shutdown is on Republicans, and no amount of blaming Democrats changes that fact. Republicans, not Democrats, folded on this deal.

Democrats are winning, Republicans are whining.

Okay Adrian!! Dropping knowledge with heat like napalm.

This entire exchange highlights what we're dealing with in America. Folks expect Dems to instantly fix everything the GOP breaks without giving Dems the adequate numbers to do instant fixes.
Because there have only been six(!) non-consecutive(!) months(!) since Carter(!) when the GOP couldn't obstruct everything!

Six months of progress, 44.5 years of obstruction or worse.

And building is always harder than destroying.
