What was the damn point of the shutdown? People missed paychecks, families went without SNAP, and Democrats walked away with nothing.

This isn’t about moderates versus the far left. It’s about who’s actually fighting for people who are struggling.

She nails where so many of us are right now.

I am angry. And bitter. And frustrated that only a handful of democratic senators were able to wreck the leverage we built for a return of ACA subsidies.

So I channeled my rage into something creative—watch this and tell me its not how it happened 😭🙄😩

Tim Kaine is notorious for not allowing after hours voicemails, consequently it’s very difficult to get a call into his office bc the lines are so jammed up. But don’t stop trying. @kaine.senate.gov

In the meantime, flood his social media accounts with comments (see links below)

I live in Virginia and we don’t want this. Americans deserve affordable healthcare. Please hold the line until ACA subsidies are actually secured—not just a consideration.

Chiuck Schumer:
attempted a strategic play, which failed miserably

OR

couldn’t unify democratic senators for one of the most consequential votes of our time.

Either scenario warrants Chuck Schumer’s replacement as Senate minority leader.

My family was told 6 years ago to raise $50,000. dollars for our son to be added to a lung transplant list.

This money was in attention to insurance paying for the surgery.

Healthcare sucks in this country ,we just lost any chance of changing it last night and protecting the ACA

We were shit on.

Speaker Johnson - time to call you party's House members back to DC and get to work!

1. Swear in Adelita Grivalja
2. Pay out full SNAP benefits for November NOW
3. RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES

Come on! We know members of the Senate are “free agents,” but the fact is Schumer didn’t hold his caucus together & isn’t doing his job as Leader

We’re supposed to believe it’s a coincidence that none of the Dems who voted yes on the CR have anything to lose in 2026?

@schumer.senate.gov STEP DOWN!

Maybe I’m late to this realization, but it just hit me…

What are the odds that Speaker Johnson calls the House back for a CR vote with the Epstein files still hanging over his head?

Those 8 Dems might have hung themselves out to dry and risked being primaried for nothing.

@kaine.senate.gov you lost the forest for the trees here and I’m really disappointed.

It’s not strategtic or a “play” to negotiate away your only leverage to people who have shown they will never honor their promises.

Hold the line. Call Chuck Schumer to remind him what we’re fighting for

So not only are Republicans withholding SNAP money, now Donald Trump is demanding the states UNDO their payments of SNAP for November.

Damn, the Trump Administration really doesn’t want kids to eat. 🥴

Trump administration says states must "immediately undo any steps" to send full SNAP benefits
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, in a late-night Saturday memo, also threatened to impose financial penalties on states that did not comply with the government's new orders.

The loss of SNAP benefits means that people are choosing between feeding themselves or feeding their pets.

Absolutely no one should have to make that choice. Let’s flood food banks & shelters with pet food & connect with corporations willing to step up—looking at Chewy

Cutting SNAP benefits & violent ICE raids are impacting animals too.

Families are desperately trying to feed their pets as the Trump Administration refuses to pay the food subsidies these families rely on. 🧵

🗣️ “The Democrats are responsible for loss of SNAP”

*Donald Trump ignores federal judges order to FEED people, escalates fight against SNAP to higher court*

🗣️ “but the Democrats…”

If you want to starve kids in the name of political theater, have the guts to be honest about it.
