During the war, as many as 100,000 residents of the northern Israel were either evacuated from their homes by the state or fled for their safety further south. Thousands more remained and lived under almost daily rocket, mortar, and explosive drone fire.

It's not just that Israel is restricting movement at Rafah. It's that movement is restricted because the crossing has long been linked to weapons smuggling, terror activity, terrorist infrastructure — risks that prompted not only Israeli controls, but years of parallel restrictions by Egypt, too.

The MEN (Are women allowed?) in ICE pretend to be rough, tough, invincible! At the end when they lay dying, old, in their beds, will they be disappointed in who they became?

We should ask ourselves that same question. Life is more fleeting than it seems.
