But even before November there was what they did to Biden.

Joe Biden was the most anti-racist president this country will ever see and his own party took him out.

Every dem who's run for a statewide seat in TX has been a long shot. But we keep trying. I would love to see her shut them all up in November.

😂Stop the victim bs & put your TX big girl pants on. You’re the only person that called YOU racist. I’m guessing because you hadn’t received pushback for your bs B4

If TX dems were united you wouldn’t be saying the bs you’re saying.

Sigh…either you want to win or you don’t. Excuse time is over.🤷🏾‍♀️
I never said they wouldn't. Tx democrats are united to vote for whomever wins the primary. Glad to know I'm a racist now because I'm worried that negative partisanship against Jasmine will result in a republican win.

Exactly.

It’s blowing my mind that lots of folks don’t realize the mental toll the November 2024 election took on us.

Those people really decided not having a BW was more important than keeping a deranged convicted rapist dictator out of office…after he told them exactly what he was going to do.

These folks are blind to what is happening right under their noses. The party betrayed the base and they still expect us to fall in line. Those days are over. See also: Jasmine Crockett.

People should go listen to her on Jaime’s podcast & listen more carefully to her debate answers. She understands the turnout issues, hell it’s why she was meeting with Abrams. She’s focusing on the ground game. It’s gonna be a tough lift. This insistence she’s “UnElEcTaBlE” is just trash misogynoir.

Exactly!!! And they're forming community, the very bedrock of activism from which collective action springs:
Wine moms and knitters are getting shit done like women so often do: quietly in the background, making shit happen where men don’t typically see it, or necessarily value it - and they’re not demanding credit or spotlight.

They’re not just day-drinking and knitting. They’re organizing.

February 10, 2026 at 12:15 AM
Exactly this
She said for over a month that she’d come to a decision re running by Thanksgiving & she’d say publicly either way by the deadline. The bs about her waiting is ridiculous & reeks of whining about not coronating a guy whose best numbers are people who are pro-white-guy or groups that don’t show up.

And running for a district “she no longer lives in”?🤦‍♂️

Do they even know that 1 of the people running to succeed her is HER PASTOR while the white guy is partly using his religious identity as how he brands himself & pulling the “bring religion back to Dems” act as if we don’t have Warnock & others?
February 10, 2026 at 6:21 AM
Folks can’t stir what they aren’t given the ingredients to make 🤷🏾‍♀️

Again…why don’t you address the fact that Black Voters would vote for James if he wins the primary but ⚪️Voters wouldn’t do the same for Jasmine if she wins the primary?

Either you want to win or you want to continue making excuses🤷🏾‍♀️
That was not my intent. My intent was to point out some of the concerns I've been hearing & that commentary from those outside of tx aren't helping if they are stirring up infighting among democrats which is exactly what the tx gop is wanting.
February 10, 2026 at 6:28 AM
Once again…

Folks need to stop worrying about the mythical crossover ⚪️ male voter and start worrying about BW being indifferent about voting in any capacity in any election.

We are the most reliable voting block of either party everywhere in the country BUT folks are determined to piss us off.

This is a cover your ass excuse

If you would be excited for her to be your Rep, there is zero reason you shouldn't be excited for her to be your Senator

Definitely a "stay in your place" attitude. Disgusting.
February 10, 2026 at 6:17 AM
And you’re helping the negative partisanship against her🤷🏾‍♀️

Here’s the part y’all are 100% missing…YOU CANNOT WIN A SINGLE RACE IN TX WITHOUT THE BLACK VOTE BECAUSE YOUR OWN DEMOGRAPHIC VOTES AGAINST YOU

All of that but y’all are determined to piss off your MOST RELIABLE VOTING BLOCK…OF EITHER PARTY
Where did I say she is unelectable? I was just pointing out that she has a harder hill to climb because there will be negative partisanship against her.
February 10, 2026 at 6:17 AM
Maybe y’all should try this…

🗣️STOP SAYING SHE’S UNELECTABLE AND KNEECAPPING HER!!!

After that…do some serious soul searching & group chats about how Black Folks would vote for James but White Folks won’t vote for Crockett.

If you want to win…you vote for the winner of the primary. Period🤷🏾‍♀️
Wasn't making excuses. Just relaying what I am hearing in my area. Jasmine is formidable and I & my neighbors were excited at the prospect of being her constituents if she stayed in the House when we were redistricted from Veasy. Just disappointed that she chose the harder, statewide instead.

I’ve seen a lot of questions on these lines, and the quick answer is that once the federal government purchases the property (including the land the warehouse sits on), local governments cannot regulate them or tax them. They are now federal properties and so the Supremacy Clause applies.
Aren't warehouses usually zoned as 'Commercial/Industrial' properties?

So, then why are they being used as 'Residential'!?

Am I wrong?
