Janet Mills
@janetmillsforme.bsky.social
Maine's first woman District Attorney, Attorney General, and Governor. A fighter and winner. Running for the U.S. Senate to stand up for the people of Maine.
Hold a public hearing, put a hold on Defense and State nominations, and legislate.

Susan Collins, it's time to demand accountability from Donald Trump for his dangerous, unconstitutional actions.

Tonight in Biddeford, I had the opportunity to meet supporters, talk about the stakes of this election, and gather signatures to get on the primary ballot this June.

I’m ready to earn this nomination and take my commitment to standing up for Maine people to the Senate.

I’ve spent my career taking action when Maine people were at risk — from expanding health care to standing up to the powerful when they hurt Maine people.

Washington is broken because too many refuse to act — but I won’t be one of them.

Wishing everyone across Maine a safe and happy New Year’s Eve — may the night be filled with warmth, reflection, and hope. 🌟
December 31, 2025 at 11:21 PM
As we approach the new year, I’m focused on what comes next — lowering costs for Maine people, protecting our freedoms, and making sure Washington finally starts listening to states like ours.
December 30, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Too many Maine families are feeling squeezed by the cost of housing, health care, and groceries.

Affordability isn’t abstract — it’s about whether people can not just get by, but get ahead. Maine deserves a Senator focused on lowering costs, not adding to them.

I’m running for the U.S. Senate because Maine people deserve steady, proven leadership that puts them first.

I’ve spent my career standing up to bullies, delivering real results, and fighting for our state — and I’m ready to bring that same backbone to Washington.
December 27, 2025 at 11:36 PM
I hear from Maine people every day who are feeling the pressure of rising costs — from groceries to housing to health care.

That’s why this campaign is about delivering solutions and standing up for people who just want a fair shot.

Warm wishes to all who celebrate Kwanzaa here in Maine!

May this season of reflection and community bring renewed purpose, unity, and hope for the year ahead.

Merry Christmas, Maine!

I’m grateful for this state and for our people who show up for one another every day.

Wishing folks across Maine a peaceful Christmas Eve. I hope tonight brings warmth, comfort, and time together with the people you love. 🎄

Make no mistake — it's Donald Trump's erratic and irrational economic policies that are causing the affordability crisis. Maine needs a Senator who will stand up against them — not enable it.

I’m honored to have the support of former Attorneys General Tierney, Ketterer, and Rowe.

Their leadership strengthened Maine — and I’m grateful for their confidence in my commitment to defend the rule of law against the overreaches of the President.

Opinion: Former Maine AGs: We must send Janet Mills to the US Senate

Susan Collins promised to protect Roe v. Wade — then voted to confirm the Supreme Court justices who overturned it.

Maine women deserve better. They deserve someone who will stand up for their rights every single day — and that’s not Susan Collins.

I’m honored to earn the endorsement of my friend, Attorney General Aaron Frey.

Together, we’ve stood up to a president who has no respect for the rule of law and we protected Maine people from attacks on our state. I’m grateful for his leadership and proud to have his support.
December 17, 2025 at 4:39 PM
My friend, Governor Maura Healey, knows what it takes to lead with a backbone. As Attorneys General and as Governors, we’ve both stood up to powerful interests and put the people of our state first.

I’m grateful to have her endorsement as I keep fighting for Maine families.

Happy first day of Hanukkah, Maine.

I want to send light and peace to all who celebrate — especially as we mourn the horrific violence in Australia. May this season’s message of resilience and hope carry us forward. 🕯️🕎

We're just getting started.

Trump is cutting student loan debt relief at the federal level — making it harder for young people to get ahead.

In Maine, I helped create one of the most generous relief programs in the country — and in the Senate, I’ll fight to bring that same relief to every American.
December 10, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Trump says Americans are “doing well.” Maybe his billionaire friends and rich donors are — but Maine people are being crushed by the cost of health care, housing, groceries, and basic necessities.

Mocking affordability won’t fix it. Real leadership will.

For someone who says she's pro-choice, Susan Collins is failing women miserably.

After confirming the justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, she’s now voting for Trump’s extreme, anti-abortion judges like Robert Chamberlin. In the Senate, I’ll stand up to this agenda — not enable it.
