Here's a regular white guy (literally "Chad") not a protester. because, "It seemed pointless, or just a way for people to expiate their sense of guilt." Chad witnessed something shattering. And, that all changed in a moment.

Excellent article!

they’ve been assuring everyone this is the case for at least 15 years. It’s always been “next year you’ll see, there’s going to be a flood of regretful detransitioners,” and it just never happens. Instead study after study shows people are have an incredibly high satisfaction rate from transition.
If you're not familiar with just how unhinged the "Gender Critical" movement is, this thousand strong class action thing might just seem like a random ass-pull, but what it is is that they believe there's going to be some moment where all trans people will just suddenly stop being trans all at once.

Remember how The Times claimed there was a 1,000 family class action against the Tavistock clinic?

We got a FOI out of them, it never happened.

To survive on the charity of others while denigrating them as weak for choosing kindness. Their image is their entire life, and it's not close, by an order of magnitude.
They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

Lightbulb moment (and I hate to be that guy, but like...) Did all the libs learn nothing from Hamilton? Aaron Burr, the guy who sits around standing for nothing but political gain, the arguable antagonist of the story?
they think it makes them look smart for never ever taking a stand, which is basically someone in a flood zone saying "the water never gets over my head" which will be true sometimes! some of the time!
Gavin newsom and Schumer and other mainstream democrats LOVE doing the "Trump always chickens out" stuff because they feel like it allows them to score points without addressing that the shit he wants to do, and often does, is really bad!!! the problem is not the follow-through!

Show this to a "common-sense" conservative who's been worried about girls' safety and they'll be confused. It looks like a weird miss. Show it to someone familiar with trans genocide and they'll understand it instantly. One model is wrong, the other is right, and the extrema prove it.
If anyone was still pretending this isn’t just about excluding trans kids from public life, the Trump administration just opened a Title IX investigation into a Maine school district because a trans student is on a *co-ed* cheerleading squad.

One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.

This screenshot is going around, and it's alarming that no one is asking where the info came from. This is a random user on Discord. Are they a PayPal employee/insider?

To their credit, we SHOULD leave it blank, because PP can't be trusted. But the rest is presented as truth, when it's assumed.

Not sure how bad the deepfake problem is? Read Stella's farewell thread.

This is an extreme form of remote sexual harassment that can now be used to target anyone, regardless of platform, in seconds. Despite news stories focusing mostly on CSAM it's still unchecked and rampant on Twitter.
I‘m discontinuing my social media use for the foreseeable future and I want to explain why.

I woke up in the new year to discover that some guy on here had saved photos I took on New Year’s Eve and used Grok to remove my clothes. I know this because he showed me.

it's funny when watching US movies or tv shows i used to be like "man, they sure do use food poisoning as a plot device *a lot* in america..."

then i learned their food poisoning statistics and it blew my mind. that's just how they live!

people DIE of food poisoning regularly in the US.

it's MAD.

It's amazing how comfortable YouTube is allowing people who have hundreds of videos harassing people, but they draw a line with discussing gambling mechanics in gaming (often in games aimed at children)
Fuck YouTube. I would rather my videos stay removed than edit them to cut out the word gambling. For years, my work was about how loot boxes were gambling, and I used the word because companies didn’t want the word used.

I’d sooner lose every video than destroy the point of them.

Fuck. YouTube.
