(The last two are very funny reasons to fire him)
Vikings decision to fire GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, per @diannarussini.bsky.social:

• Misses in draft played large role in firing
• Team failed to secure Daniel Jones
• Opted against signing Aaron Rodgers, who showed interest in playing on a "below-market" deal

Catherine O'Hara is one of the great actors of our age. She always made productions she was in better. Hilarious, great sense of timing, and a master at facial expressions.

To be clear, this is not a referendum on the quality of AI content. Markets are spooked because they believe tools like Project Genie will allow anyone to generate a video game. This is not actually possible. If you are a trader and would like to pay me 10 million dollars to explain why, hmu

Horrible news, but good to see @bloomberg naming names of some of those selling facilities to the government, such as:
-- Real estate holding firm CBRE
-- Holding company of former Trump adviser Carl Icahn

Also notes one town stating it doesn't have the infrastructure to support such a facility.
BIG news from @bloomberg.com, which confirms that ICE has gone ahead and *purchased* multiple commercial warehouses with the aim of converting them into mass detention camps.

This is likely to be the big detention story of 2026 — literal warehousing of people.

I probably wouldn’t watch this show anyway, but not seeing Toby Ziegler Odin in the flesh has gotta be a big strike against it, no matter how great Mandy is.

Just a reminder, the greatest living American historian filmmaker, Ken Burns, released a 720 min exploration of every facet of the American revolution using zero generative AI and paying for all of its assets instead of cobbling it from stolen data, then he gave it away for free on PBS this year.

i'm just going to throw out here that i'm having a hell of a time finding a good, reasonably priced option to upgrade console storage right now. the prices are totally absurd everywhere and i really don't know when they'll get better.

"I'm pissed for everyone looking to upgrade/first-time purchasers," said a Target employee documenting the price increases online.
