Call me Charlie. Some years ago - never mind how long precisely - having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me online, I thought I would surf about a little and see the less loony part of the world.

I don't think "we expect" anything of the sort, especially in 2025. Who wrote this crap?
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

I hope Texas is paying McDonough well for the half hour's worth of nonstop PR he's done for them. The Longhorns lost 3 games and it would have been 4 if Oklahoma had its starting QB. Who really cares if a team with 3 losses misses a playoff to determine a national champion?

The guy shot two random people with a gun, I don't think you can say he wasn't assimilating into our culture
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

he’s fascinating to me to observe simply as an example of the varieties of human experience. Totally incapable of empathy or even the appropriateness that can serve as a guide to conceal the inability to feel empathy.
Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.

Today on Volts: I've had more requests to cover this than almost any other topic in the pod's history, so now, at long last, balcony solar! We dig into how "plug-in solar" took off in Europe & how it's making its way to the US, starting in Utah. Backyard DIY types rejoice!
What's the deal with balcony solar?
Cora Stryker joins me to explain how "plug-in" solar took Europe by storm and is finally, via Utah (?), making its way to America.

This was a huge deal on the hellsite for days and days. All bullshit.
This should be a major scandal. The Blaze falsely reported that a former U.S. Capitol Police officer was the Jan. 6th pipe bomber. But it wasn’t just another miss by conservative media promoting conspiracies.

Someone in US intel - at ODNI - was promoting it:

Although the scale of this is still to be assessed, this is the inevitable outcome of the monetization of the algorithm. Rage-bait becomes a personal revenue model. Nothing about this should be a surprise.
NEWS: I spent the past 24 hours going through major MAGA accounts on Twitter, and a bombshell development has become clear: most of the right-wing ecosphere is being fed propaganda from foreign actors.

This impacts elections. This impacts discourse. This is major. Subscribe to support my work:

Constantly making "who is the richest boy" a headline every time the stock market shuffles the deck of richest boys is one of the reasons these megalomaniacs focus so much energy on accumulating wealth. It's a game, and they want to get the highest score and win.

Pritzker's ranking of the Star Wars films is pretty close to how I have them. Good, considered. Will be very funny when The Mandalorian And Grogu comes out and everyone has to decide if it's better or worse than Solo.

Pritzker's list:

ESB
ANH
ROTJ
R1
TLJ
ROTS
TFA
SOLO
TPM
AOTC
TROS

I know this clip is all over the internet but I had to add my 2-cents: The thing about Trump, he can't help himself, he says what he WANTS to be true rather than facts, it's a trait from as far back as when he was a big disappointment to his father. Too bad Freud is dead and gone.

I will admit that if people are still conspiring with Epstein six years after his death, that would certainly qualify as information.
“Will you release all the files within 30 days?”

BONDI: “We’ll continue to follow the law.”🤔

“You said no addition investigation was warranted. What changed?”

BONDI: “Information.” 🙃

Let's reiterate that these were (mostly) not cases where people were punished for saying that Kirk being dead was a great thing; oftentimes it was just interrupting the whitewashing to refer to actual, if inconvenient, things he had said in his career.
New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.
