He's already done "The West;" something in depth on a different region of the country: the South, New England, Texas, the Great Lakes.

Difference is Streep 1) is Streep and 2) was playing a prestigious (and real) Brit, which is Oscar catnip.
Also, the now near-universal belief that Rami Malek's Oscar was an abomination has cast a cloud over subsequent biopic bids. Chalamet coming as close as he (apparently) did was to his credit.

She's literally terminal, so I guess the benefits of her privilege in this situation are lost on me.
