For married women it's often assumed they will/have, but also, I've known many not-trans folk who changed either their first, last or whole name for various reasons and no one freaked out about it or accused them of destroying society.
normalize name changes for anyone tbh. even if you're not trans, you should be able to just choose a name you feel good about and not have it be a big deal
