To be very clear, Kennedy's team is messing with a vaccine which has led to a 99 percent drop in the incidence of hepatitis B, which kills, early and painfully, 25 percent of the people who get it as children. lnk.thebulwark.com/3Xt957M
RFK’s Anti-Vax Team Readies Its Next Moves
“Their game is, let’s really destabilize trust in the vaccine, and make people really anxious about it.”

My parents moved to England when I was 5. They took no furniture. We ended up staying a few years so they needed furniture. They had no $ so hit the Piccadilly (?) auctions, bought old stuff and restored it. My dining room table and chairs are 1800’s, I have a sideboard from 1800’s, and a harmonium.
What's the oldest family heirloom that you own?

One of the most striking things about these ICE/BP raids is not that they’re all kitted out for war while going after people who didn’t do anything wrong and don’t pose a threat, but that they always bring a camera crew.
Commander Greg Bovino led a group of Border Patrol agents on walk around the French Quarter in New Orleans this afternoon.

Yesterday the President fell asleep, yet again, during a televised fake Cabinet meeting staged so that each of his courtiers could heap praise on him, praise for which he couldn't stay conscious. He woke up just long enough to spew racism. Why is this not being treated as an emergency? >

The kids read Petit Prince in small groups today. It was funny and sweet when they got to the “six ou sept” line. The groups spontaneously burst out in “six or seven” when they read the line.
It was just innocent and happy.

Trump’s USDA is threatening to withhold food stamp funding for 20 Democrat-controlled states if they don’t share recipients’ sensitive personal data.

Yes: Trump is weaponizing hunger against millions of Americans, including children, to score cheap political points.

The cruelty is endless.

Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

Every day I’m trying to wrap my brain around the latest thing that the govt. is doing. What the orange piece of garbage said about Somalis, in any other time or country would have created outrage among everyone. What is wrong with the US, that we are okay with this?

I was joking with the kids about all the 666 stuff we were fed in the 1980’s and 1990’s. If 666 is Satan’s number, maybe “six or seven” is the number of dorky innocent happiness.
December 3, 2025 at 2:06 AM
So. In chapter 18 of Petit Prince, “six ou sept” appears. “Six or seven”.
It’s everywhere, even in texts from the 1940’s.
What if “six or seven” was the dorky happy thing to carry us through all the dark awfulness that’s happening in the world.

Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.

tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

🧵⬇️
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

As someone who works in the tech industry--absolutely.

They are testing the waters. These are top-down orders. The ONLY way to stop it is a visceral negative reaction. Write articles. Post your rage. Email. Post. @. All those things.

Only you have the power to kill it.

Tyson is one of just a few companies that controls the entire meat market.

Just last month, it paid $85M to settle charges it illegally conspired with other meatpackers to raise pork prices.

Corporate monopolies are great for executives and a raw deal for everyone else.
Tyson CEO Donnie King made $22.7 million last year.

The week before Thanksgiving, he told 3,200 workers in Lexington, Nebraska that they're losing their jobs.

Please make your way all the way through this excellent thread.

It acknowledges the challenges we are all facing in education and gives a clear path forward.

It gives me hope.

And that is something I haven't felt in a while friends.
What we are seeing here, to me anyway, is the end result of the commodification and gamification of education.
This is not a "students today" post--it's more "this is a new form of dysfunction" that doesn't look exactly like it's been in previous decades. It's more than just "first-year chaos." It's an across-the-board inability to process instructions, engage with longer texts, and *connect* with others.
