Josh f***ing Shapiro is the "future" of the party? ☠️
You have to understand what pieces like this from the NYT are and are not.
They are not an honest assessment of the state of politics today.
They are a negotiation tactic—an effort by a calcified, right-leaning legacy institution to steer the discourse in a direction more palatable to elites.

as is maybe obvious, the school model lessens faculty power and governance by eliminating chairs and any insulation between the Dean and the faculty. NJIT tried this and failed to merge our History and Humanities depts into a school with a single admin structure and no chairs.

I tried reading this drivel and it is SO poorly written. That's the kind of person who likes AI - or maybe even used it for the article. It's a word stew....
It's a competitive field obviously, but this is a strong entity for stupidest article about AI and universities in the last year or so. www.timeshighereducation.com/opinion/univ...
Universities risk irrelevance by failing to engage fully with AI
It is difficult to think of another sector that has so dismally failed to strategically engage with the transformative potential of IT, says Ian Richardson

One Weird Trick to Get Rid of Chuck Schumer - The American Prospect
Multiple Democratic groups, House members, and candidates say it’s time for the Senate minority leader to go. It turns out any single Senate Democrat can force a vote on Schumer’s job.

The thing about AOC & Mamdani is they *stand* for things. They care & mean what they say.
These Congr. Dems who imagine some aging white Bob & Sue they must appeal to stand for nothing. They‘re feckless while thinking they can’t appear “radical.” And they flail on what issues matter.

But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.
