The New Democrats & the Progressive Caucus just put out a joint statement with a list of demands for immigration enforcement reforms... 2 things on this:
1-the New Dems are to the left of Schumer on this
2-nothing about clawing back the $175 billion in OBBBA funding for ICE
“We believe any new funding for ICE and the Department of Homeland Security should: Ensure ICE and CBP immediately leave Minneapolis and stop terrorizing American cities and communities; End arrests without judicial warrants and, outside of exigent circumstances, arrests at sensitive locations such as churches, shelters, schools, and courthouses; Ensure full, independent, and transparent investigations into all DHS-related shootings, including federal cooperation with state and local investigations, and ensure that federal agents are properly trained, appropriately supervised, and held fully accountable for their actions; End the detention and deportation of U.S. citizens; End the anonymity of federal agents by requiring them to remove their masks and provide identification; Ensure robust minimum standards of care at detention facilities – including access to medical care, clean water, and edible food, and protections against abuse – and ensure independent investigations of deaths. “Meanwhile, the Congress must also: Uphold our constitutionally mandated oversight authority over the Administration to deliver accountability and transparency, and Take action to remove DHS Secretary Kristi Noem from her position. “This is a turning point, and these commonsense reforms are critical to delivering the justice, accountability, and change that the American people demand and deserve.”

Really thorough and interesting piece. As the story mentioned, Tillman was in the FBI for 8 years before resigning.
"It was, 'We need everybody outside, and we want everyone standing guard," Tillman says. "And they wanted us to make arrests. It wasn't just about going after the violent individuals. It was, 'There's some guys working on a house outside. Let's go swap them up, and it will count for the quota system.' To me, it felt political."

In press materials providing topline findings and an overview of the study, the ADL notes Claude’s leading performance — but does not mention that Grok performed the worst of the bunch. When asked about why, Daniel Kelley, senior director of the ADL Center for Technology and Society, provided the following statement: “In our report and press release, we made a deliberate choice to highlight an AI model that demonstrated strong performance in detecting and countering antisemitism and extremism. We wanted to highlight strong performance to show what’s possible when companies invest in safeguards and take these risks seriously, rather than centering the narrative on worst-performing models. That doesn’t diminish the Grok findings—which are fully presented in the report—but reflects a deliberate choice to lead with a forward-looking, standards-setting story.”
