Read the entire poem. I might be framing this or getting a tattoo of it.

During covid, restaurants did alcoholic drinks to go. They were wrapped in saran wrap, fully sealed up.
This was my to-go margarita tonight. Um.
It’s in the back of my car, jammed between my grocery bags and a few rocks.

Bought Miss Rachel toy for the baby a few months ago when I heard about her work. Baby love loves this thing. I’ll be buying every age-appropriate Miss Rachel toy from now on. Today’s Target run - duplicates of the toys to keep at my house.

At the front of all the public schools, even the pre-schools in France, are the words “liberté, égalité, fraternité”.

The newspapers in France had Gaza all over the headlines every day, even before Macron’s statement about recognizing Palestine. Last year when I was there, there were anti-genocide in Gaza protests in la Place de la République and other significant locations. And there were affiches such as these.

I preface this photo with, “I love God, I love Jesus, I love the Catholic Church, and revere most of the saints”.
Having said that, look at what they are selljng at Saint Denis!!! Of course I bought it!!!!

A tiny example - I took this photo to remind myself to buy them - they also have Histoire en Bandes Dessinées (history comic books).

I grew up in the UK. And my parents’ wealthy friends would go to Paris to shop for designer clothes - YSL, Gucci, etc.
I come to Paris to shop and I buy €5 fake crocs and notebooks.
Seriously, the Hipps (fake crocs) from Gifi are the best things in the entire world.

One more time, « hope with her anchor »

At Saint Sulpice today - there’s a statue of hope who is holding an anchor. Hope is the foundation, right?

@cantwell.senate.gov How could you stand for a photo with someone literally wanted for international war crimes. You are a better human than to do this. You are a truly good person - how could you do this?

A collectable plate from 1994. Serial number, full 9 yards, from the Hamilton Collection. Title is “the flying lesson”.
Um. I have no words.

Chihuahua is on a leash and goes wherever I go, but can’t go near upholstered stuff, so we’re hanging out at my kitchen table. Other dogs are lounging in the family room and we spent lots of time exploring the yard yesterday, which is a rarity for her pups.

Dogsitting my mom’s two rescue pups. This little guy is maybe 10 lbs, but he’s already marked my couch so he’s on a leash at my kitchen table, far from any fabric. Which means I’m at my kitchen table for the next few days.
Thank heavens for slipcovered couches.

That’s the best!!! And he is writing it down for everyone. So much gets lost if it’s just word of mouth. I have a piece of my grandfather’s family silver. He came to the states after WWI, and was incredibly poor his whole life here, but in UK was of a noble family.

1238 page unbound book on, wait for it, the History of North Idaho.
This one stays in the family. But dude. It’s “stuff”.

A 40 yr old Marks&Spencer bag.

My parents’ really good friends were from Europe and had no children. When the husband passed, my mom helped with the estate, and the wife moved back to Denmark. She didn’t want any of her husband’s photo albums, so my mom “gave” them to me for historical value.
What do I do with these photos?
