Our new paper (with @jwfurlong.bsky.social and @rachelaldred.bsky.social) out today calculates cyclability scores for every postcode in Greater London, revealing a lot of variation across the city.

As others have said, that "massive project" is what the orgs that signed the letter are all working on and have been for years. CWIS is predicated in part on design guidance like LTN 1/20 that mandates approaches like you want. All of this requires real commitment from gov though. Hence letter.

Some sort of dedicated high speed railway line would be just the ticket.
I am glad common sense has prevailed.

The UK’s fastest-growing city-region should not be in the position of having to beg and plead for basic rail connectivity.
